Donna L. Shira
Donna L. Shira, a member in the New York Office, graduated from Columbia Law School having completed her undergraduate work at American University.
Ms. Shira has more than 25 years experience in a wide range of Customs and Trade matters, with an emphasis on Latin America trade issues, cargo security, textile and apparel matters, Customs compliance audits and ISA, and consumer product issues. She has lectured extensively on C-TPAT and cargo security, NAFTA and other Special Trade Programs, as well as on consumer product safety issues. She has successfully represented clients in 301 cases, safeguard actions, and other federal government agency actions.
Ms. Shira is an Adjunct Professor of Law at Brooklyn Law School, teaching a course in Customs and International Trade. She has served as Chair of the AAEI Subcommittee on Cargo Security and is on the Board of the NY chapter of the Organization for Women in International Trade.
