Allison M. Baron is a graduate of the University of Rochester and the George Washington University Law School.

Ms. Baron’s practice areas include a wide variety of global Customs and international trade law matters, with a special expertise in textile and apparel as well as art and antique issues.

She also has extensive experience advising clients on other governmental agency matters, including product safety issues, with an emphasis on children’s products; compliance with U.S. Fish and Wildlife federal and state laws and regulations; product labeling requirements of the Federal Trade Commission and compliance with the sanctions programs of the Office of Foreign Assets Control.

Ms. Baron also devotes a significant portion of her practice to providing counsel to clients regarding foreign government regulations and the structuring of international business transactions in Canada, Europe, Asia, Latin America and South America. She assists clients in the global structuring of manufacturing, sourcing, licensing and distribution operations. Ms. Baron has represented clients’ interests in matters before the British, French and Italian Customs Authorities and the World Customs Organization. She has also assisted clients with Customs compliance audits in Canada, Europe and Japan.

Ms. Baron is admitted to the U.S. Court of International Trade and is a past Chair of the Membership Committee of the Customs and International Trade Bar Association. She has lectured on compliance, trade and security issues in New York, Italy, London, and Hong Kong.
